Where your Health Destiny is in your hands! Join me in empowering you to fully embrace a life of wholeness, health, and abundance. My name is April Parker and I’m excited to guide you on this journey!
I came up with the acronym DESTINY after reading Dr. Bredesen’s Functional Medicine classic, The End of Alzheimer’s. He says that your health DEStiny is in your hands, where DEStiny stands for Diet, Exercise, and Sleep. Those are the big three! I expanded the acronym and added: Stress reduction (both current and trapped); Spiritual; Safety; Supplements; Toxin reduction; Intimate relationships – meaning family; Nature – sunshine, fresh air, clean water, and earthing; and Y stands for… wait for it…. Yodeling! Or do something fun! 🙂
Every month, together as a community, we’ll embark on this journey to improve our health in these areas, one step at a time.
About Me
I received my Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at A.T. Still University in Arizona and graduated in 1999. I was trained by a wonderful older osteopathic doctor, the kind that made house calls, delivered your baby, and took care of your grandfather. I loved family medicine, but then transitioned into urgent care to better accommodate homeschooling my 5 children. In my journey of helping people with their health I’ve learned that allopathic medicine (which is the medical training of MDs and PAs) is just a tiny piece of the pie and that the rest of the pie holds so much truth. I’m so excited and so grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned and be free to learn and share so much more! You would think that my mission in life is to heal the sick… While I love practicing medicine, and healing the sick, my mission is actually to Liberate the Captive. I support life; medical freedom; informed consent; birth, school, and vaccine choice; religious freedom, and all ideas and practices that promote liberty!
I have many interests and hobbies including camping, gardening, traveling, dancing, and reading, especially historical romance and fantasy. I especially love cruising with my husband and reading aloud to my children. I also love helping people! Every day I pray I can be an instrument in the Lord’s hands to serve His children.
